Torontonians gathered at City Hall for three days in a row to pay their respects to former mayor Rob Ford, who died on March 22, 2016 after an 18-month battle with liposarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer.
Hundreds of mourners attended a visitation held on March 28, 2016 and March 29, 2016. On March 30, 2016, there was a procession from City Hall to St. James Cathedral for the Ford funeral service, in which thousands showed up waving flags, singing hymns, and shouting chants.
Below is a live stream of the events, which was produced for a digital journalism class at Ryerson University by Noushin Ziafati, Noella Ovid and Melissa Oro.
